The influence of Motherhood has tremendous power to impact the nations of the world. William Ross Wallace, a 19th Century American poet, in his most defining work entitled, “The Hand that Rocks the Cradle is the Hand that Rules the World” paid tribute to motherhood, by highlighting the amazing influence that a mother has on the life of her children.
Many of us can say that our mother has had a significant influence on the person we have become. Any flaws that may have existed in her, pales into insignificance when compared to mother’s strengths, character, virtues and of course her unfailing love.
Motherhood is a precious gift that Almighty God has bestowed to us. We treasure this gift and show appreciation to God for our mother as we honour her today.
