For the past few days we have been discussing the theme, "What's In Your Heart?" Last day we defined what we mean when we speak of the heart. We also looked at us being able to think in our heart. Today we consider our ability to Know IN Our Heart.
I am quite certain that you may have heard the term heart knowledge. It is more often utilised in contrast to head knowledge. An individual who knows in his/her heart is absolutely convinced of that which he/she knows. It goes beyond mental acceptance of information or facts and develops what we call convictions. When you know in your heart you have full assurance; you have faith; you trust.
In Jeremiah 24:7 the Lord promised "I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart”. Further, In Daniel 11:32b we are encouraged, "...They that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits."
A new-covenant relationship with God is dependent on you truly knowing in your heart that God loves you, Christ's finished work on Calvery saved you and the power of the Holy Spirit keeps you.
